Engaging Your Stakeholders Through Communication

Participants in this session will learn how to enhance communications with key stakeholders such as parents/guardians & staff by doing three key things: 1) Be intentional with your communication; 2) Shift from top-down communication to two-way dialogue; and 3) Define measurable goals & ways to track (and report) your efforts.

Julie Randall Romig is the Director of Strategic Communications for Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 (LIU12), and provides communications consultation and support to 25 school districts, with a focus on crisis communications and communications planning. Prior to joining the LIU12 team in September 2021, Julie served as the Director of Communications and Marketing for Central York School District, a position she held for 16 years. Julie earned her bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University, and her master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University.
